The current owners, from Elmhurst, Illinois, wished to update the appearance of the cherry bedroom set after it was inherited from their parents. We brushed a white wash on the pieces, which took several coats to keep the reddish brown wood from appearing pink. Then, the owners found complimentary hardware to carry the bedroom set from the past to the present.
