Immediate Position Available for Experienced Upholsterer
Furniture Werks is among the leading custom upholstery, furniture refinishing and repair shops in the Chicagoland area. We are located in Northwest Indiana, about 50 minutes from downtown Chicago.
We are in need of an aggressive upholsterer with experience in designer quality upholstery and antique restoration. The qualified individual should have a good work ethic, dependable transportation, a great attitude and do custom high quality work with little supervision. We are a tight knit group and need someone to fit in as a team player.
Wages are open for discussion and relocation assistance is available. Our local community is quiet, with pleasant living conditions, and our cost of living here is 30-40% lower than Chicago. Wages are from $62,000 per year to up to $30 per hour for a 40 hour week, plus time and a half for overtime. Quarterly production bonuses are available as well.
Take I-94 to either Indiana Highway 49 at Chesterton or US Highway 421 at Michigan City north to US Highway 20. We are halfway between Chesterton and Michigan City on Route 20. Please call for more detailed instructions.

- Tufting
- Coil spring work
- Upholster new frames to match picture
- Sewing
- Commercial and antique experience
- Sew and fill cushions
